Great food and the room was comfortable.

Very nice people and the accommodations were awesome for a place built in the 1840’s. Great food and the room was comfortable.

gem of a restaurant.

We were staying nearby in self catering accommodation but were so pleased to find this gem of a restaurant. Once we had discovered it ,it eclipsed everything else we tried and we just kept going back, both for breakfasts and evening meals. The food was a revelation! Imaginative, top quality. The service was lovely as well, the people were extremely hospitable. It made our entire holiday and I would like to say thank you to them and to congratulate them on “getting it right”!

Couldn’t ask for a more wonderful experience than the one you will have at the Echo Lake Inn.

Couldn’t ask for a more wonderful experience than the one you will have at the Echo Lake Inn. Tom, the owner, is an outstanding man who makes you feel like the most important person in the world when you are his guest. The rooms are immaculate, the food is exceptional, and the grounds are beautiful to walk around. Whether you’re going up to hike the Okemo area in the summer, or skiing in the winter, or looking for a fabulous wedding venue…look no further! The Echo Lake Inn has it all!

Great place. My siblings and I took advantage of the incredible ski and stay package – a real bargain. Breakfast and dinner in the Inn’s dining room are top notch. Tom and his staff are wonderful and we look forward to seeing them each year.

Perfect!

Am just back from having a 50th birthday gathering of cocktails, dinner, and an after-party at the Echo Lake Inn. There were 20 of us and it was absolutely perfect! Tom and Anne Marie were a dream to work with – incredibly hard working and responsive but easy going enough that even the planning part was fun. They took care of every detail – we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was crazy good – we asked for a turkey dinner (my favorite!) and almost every one said it was the best they’d ever had. We started with a butternut squash soup that had everyone scraping their bowls. Not sure exactly what was in the cranberry sauce but is there somewhere I can buy it?? Most of us stayed at the Inn over night- it was immaculate and so very cozy. Will certainly be back!

A great find!

My husband and I booked this Inn for a Vermont getaway. We were pleasantly surprised at finding such a gem outside of Ludlow. The rate was great, the staff so attentive, the room immaculate and bathroom large and it had a great shower. The breakfast was a full country breakfast with eggs as you desired, French toast and special omelettes. Special kudos to Diane and Chris, Melinda, Max, and a very special thank you to Ann Marie for her special breakfast cooking and caring attention. We thought the dinner meal was extraordinary for the price. Kudos to the chef for the delicious gourmet meal. We will be coming again!

Pleasant, relaxing, and fine dining
We keep returning to the Echo Lake Inn because of its rural and historic appearance, friendly staff, excellent food, and a short drive to get into Ludlow. It is slightly off the beaten path ( 5 miles off main road?). The kitchen must have a well trained, experienced chef because the entrees are always nicely prepared. Hard to go wrong with any choice on the menu. Rooms are well appointed and retain the old historic theme that works so well in Vermont.
