Great wedding venue

My husband and I attended weekend wedding festivities at the Echo Lake Inn. What a lovely spot to celebrate a special occasion. Friday’s barbecue featured a nice selection of grilled meats and salads. The bonfire provided the perfect backdrop to watch the full moon rise. The weather cooperated for Saturday’s outside wedding ceremony. A guitar player welcomed the guests to the grotto for the ceremony. Afterwards, cocktails and appetizers allowed guests to mingle before dinner. The buffet meal was scrumptious! All items were presented nicely. Kudos to the staff for their attention to detail, accommodating requests, and friendly personalities!

Great breakfasts

What a wonderful breakfast. Hearty, hot and delicious. Best pancakes ever. !!
Friendly staff too. We’ll be back – maybe just for breakfast…..Wonderful atmosphere and easy access to Okemo Mountain for skiing.

We love Echo Lake Inn

We have stayed at Echo Lake Inn probably five times in the last eight years. We come up to ski over President’s Week with our teens. The Inn is charming – super cozy and welcoming. The owner Tom is accommodating, helpful and friendly, as is the staff. We love the restaurant where we have consistently had excellent, gourmet meals. The included breakfast is good – especially the french toast. We have mostly stayed in rooms 22 and 20 which are adjoined by a bathroom and perfect for a family of four. We have also stayed in one of the condos, which was quite spacious. There is a big common space/living room with fireplace, a bar, and a basement with darts, Foosball and pool. Echo Lake Inn is so convenient to both Okemo (5 min to Jackson Gore) and Killington (15 min to Bear Mtn lodge) and it’s great to return to such a comfortable place and a delicious meal. We will be back!

Wonderful

Very pleasant and attentive staff that really provide a home from home experience. The food is delicious and plentiful. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and would highly recommend The Echo Lake Inn. I will most definitely stop by if I’m in the area.

Very nice! Wonderful food and friendly staff.

We had dinner here one evening and the complimentary breakfast the three days we were here. The food is great (the salmon and past primavera the best ever) and very elegant in it’s presentation. The dining room is beautiful.

We enjoyed the hot tub and canoeing on the lake. I would have liked to use the pool (large and clean), but the water was very chilly! Beautiful scenery. Wi-fi connection in room was excellent.

Wonderful Wedding Venue

We were guests at a wedding this past weekend, and the innkeeper and managers did a wonderful job of making us feel special. From the moment of check-in, they addressed us by name, and were helpful with any requests we had. The site is beautiful, the rooms are cozy, and the amenities are great. There was a pool, lake swimming, and canoes and kayaks for the taking. The wedding was lovely, and the food – both at the event itself, and at the included breakfasts and on-site restaurant – were delicious. Thanks for a great weekend!

70th birthday dinner on the porch

The inn’s staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. Because we had our dog with us and couldn’t take him into the dining room, my birthday dinner was served on the capacious porch. Ask for a pet-friendly room if you are bringing your dog. We stayed in one of the condos which are privately-owned. This one was not as clean as it should be, and the king mattress should be replaced. Our qualms are about that particular condo, not about the Inn itself.

Hospitality at its best

We arranged a wedding dinner for about 40 people, and we could not possibly have been happier with the way the innkeeper, Tom Gianola, made us feel welcome. From our first telephone conversation with him, Tom was anxious to please, without even the tiniest hint of pressuring us toward one choice or another. We also liked his trusting attitude: He did not even ask us for a small deposit in advance. On the day of the event itself, he welcomed all our guests warmly at the start of the dinner. His wait staff was very kind and accommodating, and the food was excellent. The dinner was the joyous culmination of a happy day: our daughter Rebekah’s wedding to her husband, Bobby, on the dock at Echo Lake, below the house that we have rented once a year from the Tepper family for two decades. We recommend Tom and the Echo Lake Inn enthusiastically.

Thursday Night’s Prix Fix Dinner Was Outstanding.

Make a reservation, sit on the porch, and enjoy! It is fine dining with a down to earth feel. The wait staff are professional, and knowledgeable about the food, but make you feel right at home. Our server, Max was able to answer all of our questions about the menu and the wine list. The food presentation was delightfully arranged with color and class. Our meals were tasty, and clean, not overly sauced or salted. I had the salmon which was melt in your mouth delicious, and my friend had the Ribeye, which was cooked to perfection, both meals were large in portion. You get a choice of an appetizer, and then homemade dessert, try the bread pudding, it’s a treat!

The Type Of Inn You See In Movies!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while we roadtripped along route 100 to see the fall colors. We had no idea what we were looking for when we booked our trip. We both had never stayed in an Inn before and had never been to Vermont. I’m so happy that we found Echo Lake. This Inn is just like what you imagine from seeing movies. Our room was on the second floor and was very cozy, spacious, and quiet. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. We had dinner on our last night and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was great and the food was too. The innkeeper, Tom, always made sure that people were happy and was very friendly. He gave recommendations on what to see and do near Ludlow. We loved our stay here and we were sad when we had to leave wishing we had more time. That’s always the best way to leave though, isn’t it?
