Although we host several weddings a year, we rarely work with couples relative to their wedding registry. But here’s a tip: consider registering at independent retailers for your wedding registry. Many small businesses offer this service and it’s a lovely way to support your local community and get unique items for your home.
For example, Peter Huntoon’s water color of the Inn (above) makes a special wedding gift and if you have guests sign the matte board, it can act as a wedding gift AND guest book!
As a long-time event coordinator I always recommend you register for white or cream dinnerware. You won’t be sorry. You can dress them up or down. When you want to celebrate a certain holiday or event, just add colorful chargers, decorative salad plates and some seasonal cloth napkins and voila’ – you get a whole new look.
